24 x 36 in.
A poster for an architectural design exhibition on Tadao Ando, hosted by the Museum of Modern Art. The poster displays imagery and typography relating to Ando in an abstract composition. The imagery chosen are examples of his famous constructions: the Hill of the Buddha and the Prefectural Museum. The typography is displayed in various sizes to indicate rank of importance, i.e. the bold of Ando's name, the semibold for location of where some of his architecture reside, and info about him in a smaller font.  The type is also placed strategically to cohere with elements in the imagery (i.e., the "O" in Hyogo replaces the circle shape in the image). The color palette is light, with earthy tones in reference to nature, an inspiration for Ando's structures.
